What is Mikci?
Mikci is a quiet money companion — not a traditional budgeting app, bank, investment platform, or financial advisor. You can explore with sample activity first, then connect with Plaid so Mikci can notice changes in your own spending patterns, leave letters when something matters, and check Promises you accept. Promises are optional. Mikci does not hold or move money, and it does not give financial advice.
Do I have to use Plaid?
Not to explore. New accounts can try Mikci with fictional sample activity (including sample bills and payday). To understand your own patterns and run personalized Promises, connect through Plaid. Connecting Plaid replaces sample activity with your real synced activity for that account.
What is sample activity?
Sample activity is fictional demo data so you can see how Home, Calendar, letters, and Promises work before linking a bank. It is not your financial information, and it is never mixed with Plaid data.
Will Mikci message me every day?
Most days stay quiet. Mikci writes when something looks worth asking about — then checks the result when a Promise ends.
What is a Mikci Promise?
A small, measurable commitment suggested in a letter — like keeping dining under a weekly amount. You choose Make this Promise or Not this time.
What is Mikci Personality?
A setting for how Mikci's letters sound — Calm & Chill (default), Cool Friend, Tough Love, or Attitude. It does not change how Promises are evaluated. Attitude may use strong language; Mikci asks you to confirm before enabling it. You can change personality anytime in My Account.
What are Moments?
Moments is an optional community feed where you can share a small win, honest miss, or in-progress Promise — only if you want to.
How is my data protected?
Sensitive data is encrypted at rest, transmitted over secure connections, and never sold. You can export or permanently delete your account anytime.
Can I use Mikci on my phone?
Yes. Mikci is a responsive Progressive Web App you can install on your home screen.
